My paper, Mapping the Mamasphere: Hyperlinking Patterns Among Elite Mommy-bloggers, which uses social network analysis software to examine the blogrolls kept by A-list mommy-bloggers in order to develop an understanding of their hyperlinking patterns and to map the ‘mamasphere’ through the hyperlinks of its top bloggers, was recently accepted by the Association Canadienne de Communication/Canadian Communication Association for their national conference, to be held in May 2012 in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario.

I will be presenting at the Mothers and History: Histories of Motherhood conference being held May 10-12, 2012,  in Toronto, Ontario. This conference is sponsored by one of my favourite research consortiums, the Motherhood Initiative for Research and Community Involvement. My paper, (Re)mediating Motherhood: How Mommy-bloggers Have Reclaimed Mothering Expertise, examines the role of mommy-blogging in knowledge creation and sharing among mothers.
